So who comes up with this space adventure, you ask? Let’s meet them!
Deuterium Studios consists of Cannon Hamaker and Daniel Hicken:
Daniel Hicken has been involved with the Ill Bethisad project for nearly 10 years and has wanted to find ways to use this expenditure of creative energy for the benefit of more than just The List. Fortunately, Daniel’s wife Marci knows Cannon, and the creative sparks flew. When Daniel isn’t writing the story for Vanguard SV2245, he’s learning languages (as a Linguistics student) or creating some piece of alternate history, in Ill Bethisad or otherwise.
Cannon Hamaker Cannon is a full time artist/illustrator, and stay at home Dad, and a vital part of the creative process. He doesn’t know if he likes long walks on the beach, cuz there isn’t one for a hundred miles. When he isn’t parenting or creating, he is sleeping or obeying his wife’s every command. Cannon’s other venture is Animal Ward in which he draws the storylines that Dave Omer comes up with.
We haven’t started this adventure alone — these fine gentlemen have also contributed to the ideas that have lead to this comic.
Marc Pasquin must also be listed as part of the creative team. While his contribution might be small on the total scale of things, it was his creative genius when it comes to uniforms that created the uniforms of most everyone aboard the Vanguard, and since we see them so much, we acknowledge his creative help.
Lastly, but importantly, we recognize Andrew Smith, as it was his thought experiment that created Brithenig and Ill Bethisad by extension, and without his cornerstone, the work of this comic wouldn’t have come forward, either.
